Gerrie Gorny, a Member of Nest 4, recently donated more than 100 hats, gloves and scarves to St. Margaret’s House. These items were collected by Nest Members from Thanksgiving until Christmas. St. Margaret’s House is a charitable organization that works to improve the lives of women and children by providing individual attention to their immediate needs, breaking the bonds of isolation and helping them acquire skills to better their lives.
On May 11, the Members of Nest 31 participated in the annual Helping Hands volunteer day. Once again, they showed their Falcon spirit by gathering early on an overcast and chilly Saturday morning to help the Polish Army Veterans Home spruce up for spring. The group weed-whacked, picked up trash, rototilled the garden area (where the cooks at the home use the fresh vegetables to feed the veterans), planted flowers, set up the picnic table area and generally spruced up the grounds.
A big thank you goes out to all the Members of Nest 31 that participated in this annual event. Thanks go out to Kasia Borkowski, Catherine Smith, Nathan Wloch, Xavier Wloch, Frank Wloch, Amber Bradley, Teena Bradley, Austin Bradley, Ashley Bradley, Julia Serafin, Richard Karpinski, Judith Karpinski, Nicholas Zembrzuski, Stas Biestek, Gregory Biestek, Monica Biestek and Cynthia Zembrzuski.
